KUALA LUMPUR: Bandar Tun Razak MB Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail recently presented over RM200,000 in contributions to mosques and suraus in the constituency for various activities during Ramadan.

Wan Azizah, who is also the Prime Minister’s wife, mentioned that the donation was dispersed among nine mosques and 80 suraus in the area, with each mosque receiving RM5,000 and each surau receiving RM2,000, totaling more than RM200,000.

She emphasized that this initiative by the Bandar Tun Razak Parliamentary Constituency Office aims to support the success of mosque and surau programs, covering additional expenses for activities throughout Ramadan.

“These donations not only aid in financial matters but also promote unity, cooperation, and strengthen the bond between mosques, suraus, and the community in the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary constituency,” she explained.

These remarks were made during the donation presentation ceremony for mosques and suraus, along with the launch of Ramadan Bazaar Coupon Purchase and bubur lambuk distribution at the Az-Zubair Ibn Awam Mosque on Sunday.

Wan Azizah’s office also distributed RM10 worth Ramadan bazaar coupons to the residents of Bandar Tun Razak, valid at selected Ramadan bazaars in the vicinity.

“Weekly, 100 Ramadan bazaar coupons will be distributed in six specific areas, including Taman Tenaga, Jalan Jujur, Taman Mulia, Sri Penara, Sungai Besi, and Taman Bukit Cheras,” she added.

She highlighted that this Ramadan Bazaar Coupon distribution program is a fresh initiative to support the Ramadan bazaar visitors’ expenses in the area.

Moreover, she expressed gratitude to companies MKRS and New Tech for their contributions towards the one day one cooking area program and the distribution of bubur lambuk.
