    Wanita Amanah Convention: Aiman Athirah retains Awan Chief, Anfaal as Deputy

    KLANG: The Deputy Local Government Development Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu has been re-elected as the chief of Angkatan Wanita Amanah Negara (Awan) for the 2023-2026 term during the party wing’s election on Saturday. This is according to Bernama.

    Another key election during the event was the selection of Anfaal Saari as the Awan deputy chief for the period. A total of 498 delegates participated in the election, making their voices heard.

    Dr. Hafidzah Mustakim, Dr. Salmee Said, and Dr. Kamaliah Noordin were chosen as Awan national vice-presidents during the event. This shows the importance of grassroots leadership in the party.

    Zarina Dzulkupli was elected as the Speaker at the convention without any opposition, with Rosmayana Abu Rahim being named as the deputy. Norlia Salleh and Suriati Sukardi have been chosen as auditors to ensure transparency and accountability within the party.

    In her speech at the 2023 National Awan Convention, Aiman Athirah expressed her gratitude to delegates from across the country for putting their faith in her and 25 other leaders to continue serving the party and the country.

    She advised the seven new National Awan Leadership Committee members to quickly adapt themselves to their duties and responsibilities at the national level. This shows the importance of effective and efficient leadership within the party.

    Aiman Athirah also stressed that the elections are not just about filling vacant positions, but about more responsible and effective governance for the party and the country. She emphasized the need for preparedness and commitment from all leadership members.
