Water supply in parts of Penang to be affected after production reaches maximum capacity

Alert notice issued by Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) after water production reaches maximum capacity on Saturday, March 16th.

Posted on PBAPP’s Facebook page at midnight, the notice warns of possible water supply disruption in several areas.

Due to high water consumption and reduced water levels, pump houses along Sungai Ara, Batu Maung, Teluk Kumbar, and South Seberang Prai are affected.

Residents in Lebuh Relau, Jalan Kelabu, Sungai Ara, Batu Maung, Bayan Lepas, Balik Pulau, and South Seberang Prai may experience low water pressure or no water supply.

In response, PBAPP urges the public to use water wisely and promises to provide updates on the situation as it develops.
