PETALING JAYA: According to Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, the beginning of 2024 will be a year full of challenges. In a video posted on TikTok on Wednesday (Jan 17), Dr Wee said, “Some are complaining and many are sweating.” He mentioned that he had read a summary of the challenges that need to be overcome for the year. The MCA president expressed his concern for people questioning if they can endure all the increases, as new taxes and subsidy withdrawals coincide.
Dr Wee also stated that the journey of life must continue and all major tests must be shouldered. He expressed the hope that the government can help alleviate the people’s suffering and wished the country the best for continued progress.
