According to Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Malaysia is eagerly anticipating the Deepavali celebration on Nov 12, and Wisma MCA is also joining in the festive spirit.
The MCA president announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday (Nov 8) that Wisma MCA is adorning its building with the Deepavali ‘kolam’ (decorative rice motif).
Dr Wee Ka Siong expressed, “In conjunction with the Deepavali celebration, Wisma MCA also shares in the festive cheer by decorating the building with our own kolam.”
He added, “Not many people have the skills and experience to create the colourful art piece, which requires a high level of patience to painstakingly go through the details of the artwork for hours.”
This year, Deepavali, known as the Hindu ‘festival of lights’, will take place on Nov 12.
