KUALA PILAH: According to District Police Chief Supt Amran Mohd Gani, police are searching for a woman who allegedly stole jewellery worth about RM41,000 from a store in Kuala Pilah.
The theft was captured on CCTV at 4pm on Jan 3. The suspect, believed to be in her 30s, was seen wearing a face mask during the incident.
According to Supt Amran, the woman entered the store and requested to see some items. She then tried on two pieces of jewellery and suddenly fled the store.
The woman managed to get away with two gold bracelets weighing about 1.43kg, which were worth RM41,085.
The case is under investigation under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft. If convicted, the maximum jail term is 10 years.
