GUA MUSANG: Last Friday, the Works Ministry discovered 21 locations across seven states affected by natural disasters. The affected states include Johor, Pahang, Kelantan, Perak, Terengganu, Kedah, and Selangor. These locations comprised of eight state roads and 13 federal roads, with four areas experiencing floods, 10 locations with collapsed slopes, four with collapsed roads, and three with damaged or collapsed bridges,” said Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
“Johor was the most affected state with six locations, followed by Pahang (four), Kelantan and Perak (three each), Kedah and Terengganu (two each), and Selangor (one),” he added.

Nanta stated these findings to reporters during an inspection of the construction of Federal Route FT008, Section 258.00 of the Lingkaran Tengah Utama (LTU) Expressway project near Paloh on Sunday (Jan 7). He also mentioned that the LTU Expressway project is progressing according to schedule and has reached a 58 per cent completion rate.
“So far, there have been no major issues, except for some problems related to land acquisition,” he said. “We are dedicated to resolving these problems promptly to ensure the project remains on track for completion by 2027,” he added. – Bernama
