In Kota Bharu, the Kelantan Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (Maik) has announced that the zakat fitrah rate for Muslims in the state this year is set at RM7 per person. Maik president Tengku Tan Sri Mohamad Rizam Tengku Abdul Aziz mentioned that individuals who wish to pay RM14 or RM21, based on the amount of rice consumed, are encouraged to do so.
Furthermore, Tengku Mohamad Rizam highlighted that the Nisab rate for zakat harta in Kelantan is RM23,831 for the haul between Ramadan in 1445H and Ramadan in 1446H. He emphasized that zakat payments can be made through the Baitulmal counter services in the city and district mosques, or through the Maik portal at zakat.e-maik.my. – Bernama
