MUMBAI: The Bhoiwada police have made another arrest in the diagnostic scan racket at the Tata Memorial Hospital. A ward boy named Dinesh Ramchandran Mohite (27) has been arrested on charges of cheating, forgery, breach of trust, and criminal conspiracy. Mohite was produced before the local court and has been remanded to police custody until August 4. He is the 13th accused to be arrested in the case, and the police are still searching for 8 to 10 more individuals, including employees and owners of diagnostic centers.
According to the police, the arrested individuals, most of whom are ward boys at the hospital, have been colluding with private diagnostic centers for some time now. The scam came to light after senior officials at Tata Memorial Hospital discovered the racket.
