Barcelona has been actively working on re-signing 22-year-old defender Mika Marmol from FC Andorra for the past few weeks. After an impressive 2022-23 season, during which Marmol joined LaLiga Hypermotion on a free transfer, multiple LaLiga teams, including Barcelona, have shown interest in signing him. The good news is that Barcelona has the option to re-sign Marmol for just €1m.
However, Barcelona has no intention of keeping Marmol. Instead, they are planning to immediately sell him to Las Palmas in order to fulfill a debt related to the transfer of Pedri in 2020.
Unfortunately, recent negotiations between Barcelona and Las Palmas have come to a standstill, as reported by MD. The reason behind the deadlock is Barcelona’s insistence on including a buy-back clause in the deal, which Las Palmas is skeptical about.
Barcelona’s financial troubles are widely known, and settling debts is a top priority for the club. However, the current situation appears to be quite challenging.
