Confirmation of the Transfer Price by Andre Cury
“The rumors about commissions are false. The actual transfer price is 30 million plus 31 million in variables. If you have to pay, do so with happiness,” declared Cury, confirming the true cost of Vitor Roque’s transfer.
Andre Cury, the agent renowned for bringing stars like Ronaldinho and Neymar to Barcelona, revealed on Cadena SER that Vitor Roque will officially join Barcelona in January 2024.

Insight into Vitor Roque’s Signing
“Our initial contacts with Vitor Roque began in 2019, and with the help of Deco, we were able to finalize his signing since June of last year. Several LaLiga teams expressed interest in Vitor Roque,” explained Cury.
The agent emphasized in the interview that “Vitor Roque had a clear desire to play for Barcelona. It wasn’t just about money, but rather the project for the future that Barcelona offers, which excites everyone.”
Cury Recalls Near Transfers of Vinicius and Rodrygo to Barcelona
Cury reminisced about the almost transfers of Vinicius and Rodrygo, both of whom are now stars at Real Madrid, to Barcelona.
“Vinicius was on the verge of signing with Barcelona. The player’s two agents were very close friends of mine. However, my friends betrayed me and the club at the last moment. Since 2017, we haven’t spoken to each other,” Cury revealed on the program ‘Que T’hi Jugues’ in 2021.
“Vinicius is a devoted Barcelona fan. He is a true ‘cule.’ In fact, he shed tears after Barcelona’s incredible 6-1 comeback against PSG,” the agent shared two years ago.
During the ‘El Larguero’ program, Cury recounted the story of Vinicius almost joining Barcelona and also mentioned the possibility of Rodrygo’s arrival: “We had both players within our reach. Vinicius’s signing was jeopardized due to betrayal, as people very close to me personally betrayed us in the end. Rodrygo was practically secured, but the club decided not to sign him.”
“Vinicius’s signing was practically arranged, and Madrid found out he was in Barcelona and extended an invitation for him to join them. However, Madrid didn’t even know him. Vinicius ultimately went to Madrid because his agents chose that path. We had been working on his signing for three years, and his agents betrayed us. Vinicius himself told me he is a proud ‘cule.’ He cried when Barcelona achieved the remarkable 6-1 victory over PSG. He said to me, ‘I don’t know about others, but Barcelona touched my heart,'” Cury recounted.
Regarding Rodrygo‘s potential transfer to Barcelona, the agent explained, “Rodrygo was practically a done deal, but Barcelona chose not to pursue it. With Vinicius, we were in talks, but when he betrayed us, we turned our attention to Rodrygo. Personally, I believe Rodrygo is more well-rounded than Vinicius. We went to Santos to negotiate for him, but we failed to finalize the deal, and then Madrid stepped in with greater financial power. Rodrygo’s father told me that if I could arrange a deal between Santos and Barcelona, Rodrygo would have gone to Barcelona for a lesser amount.”
