Cardi B shouted at the person while security guards moved in to handle the situation. The Grammy winner was performing her hit song “Bodak Yellow” when she was targeted.
This is not the first time Cardi B has thrown her mic during a performance this weekend. Another video shows her throwing the microphone across the stage after the backing track for her song “I Like It” was abruptly stopped, and she finished the performance a cappella. Speculation from TikTok users suggests that she may have been angry at the DJ for stopping the music prematurely, although it is unclear if anyone was hit by the flying mic.
Cardi B’s representative has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the incident. The singer played at Drai’s shortly after releasing a new single, “Jealousy,” in collaboration with her husband Offset. The song alludes to cheating allegations that Offset recently made against Cardi B. The couple, who have been married for almost six years and have two children together, Kulture and Wave, continue to make headlines both on and off the stage.
