To celebrate Dhanush’s 40th birthday on July 28, the teaser for his upcoming film Captain Miller was released. The video, dropped by the makers of the period action film, directed by Arun Matheswaran of Saani Kaayidham fame, is filled with drama as it follows the adventures of Dhanush’s character, Captain Miller, also known as Eesa and Analeesan.
Dhanush’s Captain Miller teaser
The teaser showcases Dhanush with a rugged appearance, sporting a long beard and long hair, complemented by a black thread-like choker around his neck. Dhanush is seen wielding various weapons in the teaser, mostly a large rifle. Additionally, there is a gruesome scene featuring Dhanush wielding an axe. According to rumors, Dhanush will be playing dual roles in the film, portraying a father and a son.
The teaser begins with the British search for the ‘wanted dacoit’ Captain Miller, also known as Eesa and Analeesan. After intense battle scenes and explosions, a wanted poster offering a handsome reward for Captain Miller’s capture is revealed.
About Captain Miller
Captain Miller is a Tamil film written and directed by Arun Matheswaran, produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash, with lyrics by Vivek, Arunraja Kamaraj, Umadevi, and Kaber Vasuki. It is set to be released in December 2023. Apart from Dhanush, the film features Mark Bennington, Nassar, Shivarajkumar, Priyanka Arulmohan, and many others.
Arun Matheswaran on Captain Miller
Arun Matheswaran revealed that Dhanush will be seen in three different looks in Captain Miller. In a previous report, the director mentioned, “Dhanush will have three getups in the film, and the first poster showcases one of these looks. The others will be released subsequently during further promotions. Over 85 percent of the film has been shot, and we have even completed portions featuring Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1930s, in the pre-independence era.”
