Trevoh Chalobah is set to leave Chelsea this summer as the club is close to securing a deal for Axel Disasi from Monaco. The Evening Standard reports that Chelsea and Monaco have agreed on a fee of around €45 million for Disasi, which has led Chalobah to consider his future at the club.
Chalobah, a 24-year-old English defender, is looking to secure more game time in order to boost his chances of being selected for the England squad in Euro 2024. With the likes of Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill, and Benoit Badiashile ranking higher in Chelsea’s pecking order, Chalobah has decided to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Chelsea is likely to demand a fee of £45 million for Chalobah, who is reportedly attracting interest from Inter Milan. However, Inter has not yet made an official bid for the player. Chalobah has made 34 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea so far.
In other Chelsea news, the team is set to play their final pre-season game of the US tour on August 3 against Borussia Dortmund in Chicago. This marks the end of their preparations ahead of the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, the fans have been voting on the best signing of this transfer window. The options include Jude Bellingham, Christopher Nkunku, Dominik Szoboszlai, Mason Mount, Sandro Tonali, and “other”. The results of the poll will be shared soon.
