(CNN) — Huge news for movie fans! Hugh Jackman recently took to Instagram to give us a sneak peek at “Deadpool 3.” In the photo, he’s donning a yellow costume from the beloved comic book series. But here’s the twist – his return as Wolverine won’t interfere with “Logan,” the 2017 “X-Men” story that saw his character meet his end.
In the picture, Jackman is joined by his co-star Ryan Reynolds, who also shared the image on his own Instagram story. Reynolds captioned it, saying, “Don’t blink,” along with emojis representing their respective characters. This exciting news comes after Reynolds announced Jackman’s return in a video last September, where he expressed the importance of making his first appearance in the MCU truly special.
What makes this announcement even more significant is that Deadpool has officially joined the Marvel universe after previously being under the Fox banner. Alongside Jackman and Reynolds, “Deadpool 3” will also star Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Jennifer Garner as Elektra. Fans can mark their calendars for May 3, 2024, as that’s when the movie is set to hit theaters.
