Jonny Evans made his long-awaited return to Manchester United in their pre-season friendly against Lyon. The 35-year-old defender recently signed a short-term contract after leaving Leicester. Manager Erik ten Hag decided to bring Evans on in the second half, and he impressed with his performance. This is Evans’ second stint at United, as he came up through the club’s academy before leaving in 2015. He has been training with the first-team and earned the opportunity to play in the friendly against Lyon. Evans also has the chance to play in the upcoming match against Wrexham in San Diego.
