Krispy Kreme offers a dozen donuts for just $0.86!

Krispy Kreme is holding a one-day promotion: Buy one dozen donuts, get another dozen for 86 cents.

This promotion is in celebration of Krispy Kreme’s 86 years in business. The first Krispy Kreme opened in 1937 in Winston-Salem, N.C. by founder Vernon Rudolph.

Locals may recall Krispy Kreme’s history in Houston, from its initial success to legal disputes with franchisees. After temporary closures and rebranding, Krispy Kreme returned to Houston in 2015.

In 2006, Krispy Kreme left Houston but eventually returned with stores in Humble and Pearland.
