PETALING JAYA: Four shops at the bus terminal and public market in Larkin Sentral, Johor Bahru, caught fire this morning.
The incident occurred at 6.50am and the fire involved two bookstores, a shop selling perfumes, and a cosmetic store.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
Operations commander Faiz Suleiman told FMT that the fire was brought under control at 8.25am.
“The operation is still ongoing as work is being done to ensure there are no more embers from the fire.”
He said 20 firemen from the Larkin fire and rescue station and seven members from the Tebrau fire and rescue station were involved in the operation.
