Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to make his big screen comeback after a two-year hiatus with Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer. The film has generated immense anticipation as it features a star-studded cast including Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, and Shivarajkumar from other film industries.

The recently released showcase video of Jailer introduced Rajinikanth’s character, ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian. He is portrayed as a simple and soft-spoken individual who conceals another side of him unknown to the people around him. Tiger, with a smile on his face, fearlessly fights the villains with his sword, and demonstrates a menacing demeanor when it comes to delivering justice.

Rajinikanth portrays ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, who appears in simple shirts and trousers throughout the film, creating the persona of an unassuming and harmless man. However, when he dons his police officer uniform, his violent side gives his enemies sleepless nights.

During the audio launch of Jailer, Rajinikanth expressed great confidence in the film and extended his support to director Nelson, who faced criticism for his previous work, Beast. Despite Beast not meeting the expected performance at the box office, Rajini stated that it was a commercial success and did not result in losses for the producers.

Jailer is said to portray the story of a father’s endeavor to protect his son and grandson from formidable villains. He seeks help from his old friends, forming a force to take down the antagonists.

Starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Mirnaa Menon alongside Rajinikanth, the film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who previously worked on Rajinikanth’s film Petta. Jailer is scheduled for release on August 10.
