Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 exceeded expectations with its thrilling fights and captivating storyline. In this section of the season, the focus shifts to a single battle – a battle for humanity between the Seven Gods of Good Fortune and Buddha. The fight itself is visually stunning, but it is the personal growth and relationship between the characters that truly make this finale exceptional.

Buddha, portrayed as a calm and emotionless character, fights on the side of humanity and aims to save them from destruction. He believes in the middle path, embracing suffering as a necessary part of life and finding happiness from within. On the other hand, Zerofuku, the God of Misfortune, is a complex and lonely character. Born to relieve humanity’s suffering, Zerofuku realizes that his actions inadvertently led to their downfall. Witnessing Buddha’s ability to inspire happiness without excess shakes Zerofuku to his core and compels him to seek revenge on humanity.

As these two characters meet in the arena, their differing views on suffering and life take center stage. While the fight itself is filled with twists and tension, it is the relationship between Buddha and Zerofuku that drives the story forward. The series delves into their past and explores the role of suffering in shaping human resilience.

Despite some pacing issues that have become characteristic of the series, Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 manages to build strong connections between the characters and delve into the consequences of their choices. This installment is the best yet in terms of character development and storytelling.
