Salman Khan gives a shoutout to Shah Rukh Khan’s film: ‘Pathaan Jawan ban gaya’ | Bollywood

Salman took to Instagram on Tuesday and shared the Jawan Prevue. In the caption, he wrote, “Pathan jawan ban gaya, outstanding trailer, absolutely loved it. Now this is the kind of a movie we should see in theatres only. I toh for sure seeing it 1st day ko hi. Mazaa ahh gaya wahhhhh..”

Salman and Shah Rukh have been contemporaries since the early 1990s, and the two have had a bittersweet relationship throughout the years. Their most famous collaboration was in the film Karan Arjun, where they played titular brothers.

Although they have appeared in cameos in each other’s films regularly, their recent collaboration was in Pathaan, where Salman reprised his role of Tiger to help out Shah Rukh’s character in an epic train sequence.

They have also hinted at Shah Rukh making a cameo as Pathaan in Salman’s upcoming film, Tiger 3, which also stars Katrina Kaif. Directed by Manish Sharma, Tiger 3 is set to release on Diwali, November 10.

Shah Rukh and Salman are building the YRF Spy Universe under Yash Raj Films. They will reportedly face off in Pathaan vs Tiger, which is said to be one of the most expensive films made in India.

Jawan, directed by Atlee, is not a part of the YRF Spy Universe. The action film features Shah Rukh in a dual role as a father and a son. The cast includes Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone in a special appearance, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Riddhi Dogra, with Sanjay Dutt and Thalapathy Vijay making key cameos. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan is set to release on September 7.
