Arsenal and Manchester United are set to face off in an exciting preseason clash at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey as part of their USA tour. Both teams have had successful starts to their summer schedule, with United securing wins over Leeds United and Lyon, while Arsenal thrashed an MLS All Star team 5-0. This match marks the next phase of preseason preparations for both Mikel Arteta and Erik ten Hag as they aim for a strong start to the 2023/24 campaign.

Arteta’s squad has been strengthened by the additions of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber this month, all of whom are expected to start. However, United’s new goalkeeper Andre Onana will not be joining the squad yet due to extended transfer talks. The match will be televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes in the USA, and live streaming coverage will be available on Arsenal.com and MUTV for fans worldwide.

The starting lineups for both teams have been announced ahead of the match. Arsenal will feature Aaron Ramsdale in goal, with Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel, and Takehiro Tomiyasu in defense. The midfield will consist of Martin Odegaard, Rice, and Havertz, while Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah, and Gabriel Martinelli will lead the attacking line.

Manchester United’s lineup includes Tom Heaton in goal, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Luke Shaw in defense. Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo, and Bruno Fernandes will form the midfield trio, while Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho will spearhead the attack.

Both managers have made strategic changes to their lineups, with Arteta rotating fullback positions and the midfield three. Ten Hag is introducing some of his other star players after fielding mainly younger players in the previous friendlies. Notable absences from the squads include Anthony Elanga, Andre Onana, and Dean Henderson.
