Lead vocalist Julian Casablancas has announced that The Strokes will be offering “mega discounts” for fans traveling from Kuala Lumpur to their upcoming shows in Singapore. This initiative aims to help offset the cost of travel for Malaysian fans who may not have the opportunity to see the band up close in the near future. The announcement was made in a separate post on Casablancas’ personal Instagram page.
Unfortunately, The Strokes will not be performing in Malaysia anytime soon. Wan Alman, Director of Entertainment for Future Sound Asia, revealed during a press conference on Thursday (Jul 27) that initial discussions had taken place to bring the band back to Malaysia. However, due to scheduling conflicts, this arrangement was not possible.
