Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina reaches Wimbledon quarterfinals despite giving up Harry Styles tickets. However, Styles himself offers to help her make it to a show.

Last week, Svitolina shared her disappointment on Instagram after Wimbledon changed her plans by advancing in the tournament: “Hey guys!! I was supposed to go see my fav Harry Styles concert in Vienna tomorrow… But Wimbledon changed my plans. Someone want to go? I have two tickets.”

As the caption of the post reads, “You win some, you lose some.” Svitolina couldn’t make it to the concert, but she won her match against Belarusian player Victoria Azarenka and will face Iga Swiatek, the number one ranked player, on Tuesday.

Wimbledon’s post about the concert caught the attention of Harry Styles, who left a comment for Svitolina: “Congratulations! We have four shows to go, you’re welcome at any of them. Good luck with the rest of the tournament.”

Harry Styles, a three-time Grammy winner, has been on his “Love on Tour” for over a year. The highly popular world tour included residencies at Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum. His tour will conclude with shows in Barcelona, Madrid, Portugal, and Italy. Hopefully, Svitolina can attend one of these concerts before Wimbledon ends on July 16.

Svitolina, currently ranked number 79 in women’s tennis singles, has defeated top players like Venus Williams, Elise Mertens, Sofia Kenin, and Victoria Azarenka at Wimbledon.

After winning on Sunday, Svitolina said, “After giving birth, this is the second happiest moment of my life.” She also mentioned how she thought about the people back home in Ukraine cheering for her during the match.

Azarenka was booed after her defeat, but Svitolina chose not to shake hands with her. This decision was based on her refusal to shake hands with Russian or Belarusian players due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Belarus’s support. Azarenka expressed her thoughts on the matter during a post-match news conference.
