SHANGHAI (Reuters) – Alibaba has announced that it will make its artificial intelligence model, Tongyi Qianwen, available to the public. This move indicates that the company has obtained regulatory approval in China to market the model on a large scale.
The Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Division revealed that several organizations, including OPPO, Taobao, DingTalk, and Zhejiang University, have agreed to collaborate in training their own language models or developing language model applications using Tongyi Qianwen. This was announced in a post on Alibaba’s WeChat account.
