A father from Oklahoma recently made a disturbing discovery and promptly reported it to the local police department. The man, who was described as distraught, found explicit images of his young daughter on his girlfriend’s phone. The incident was reported to the Stillwater Police Department on August 22.
The father explained that he had met the woman, identified as 19-year-old Ashlee Cheatham from Midwest City, online and they began a relationship. Eventually, Cheatham moved in with the father. It was during this time that the father stumbled upon the troubling images on her phone while she was asleep.
In response, investigators promptly met with Cheatham and subsequently arrested her at the residence. The police department shared this news on their official Facebook page. Cheatham is now facing charges that include sexual abuse of a child under 12, making or distributing obscene material or child pornography, possession of marijuana, and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
Midwest City, which is located around 70 miles southwest of Stillwater, is part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
