(Reuters) – Lucid Group, an emerging player in the electric vehicle (EV) market, has reported that its EV deliveries remained steady in the second quarter, despite facing fierce competition from industry heavyweight Tesla. As demand for EVs continues to surge, Lucid Group announced that it delivered 1,404 vehicles in the quarter ending on June 30, only two less than the previous quarter’s total of 1,406 deliveries. The company also shared that it produced a total of 2,173 vehicles during the quarter, slightly lower than the 2,314 units manufactured in the preceding three months.
According to Akash Sriram, reporting from Bengaluru, Lucid’s performance in the face of tough competition reaffirms its commitment to establishing a strong presence in the EV market. Lucid Group’s ability to maintain steady delivery numbers demonstrates its resilience and capacity to compete alongside Tesla, the current market leader in the EV sector. As Lucid Group strives to carve out its own slice of the EV market, industry analysts will be closely monitoring its future growth and market share. This news update was edited by Arun Koyyur.
