Have you noticed the increasing number of new condos in the Klang Valley? As more people move into these buildings, they will likely need a broadband plan. Luckily, we have compiled a list of the best value broadband plans for those on a budget in July 2023.

In the under RM100 category, there are not many new promotions for home broadband plans. However, a new player called Allo has entered the local broadband space. Allo offers a Pakej Rahmah plan that provides 100Mbps for RM69/month. This plan is only available to a select group of Malaysians and is currently limited to certain regions. Allo also has a 100Mbps plan for RM99/month, with a discounted rate of RM89/month for the first 12 months.

Aside from Allo, our recommendations from last month remain the same. CelcomDigi Fibre plans are still available with TV or Sony PS5 bundle deals. By signing up for selected Celcom/Digi postpaid plans, you can get the 300Mbps plan for RM75/month for 6 months. If you don’t have CelcomDigi coverage or live in a high-rise building, the TIME Fibre Home 100Mbps plan is a good option. Alternatively, the Unifi Home 30Mbps and Astro Fibre 50Mbps plans are suitable alternatives.

Moving on to the under RM200 category, there aren’t many new promotions worth noting. However, Allo now offers a 300Mbps plan for RM129/month, with a rebate of RM30 for the first 12 months. If you don’t have Allo coverage, the TIME Fibre Home 500Mbps plan is the best option for faster speeds at an affordable rate. For those without coverage for either Allo or TIME, the Unifi or Maxis 300Mbps plans are recommended.

Overall, there are not many exciting options for broadband plans in July 2023, apart from Allo. If you are interested in a new TV or Sony PS5, CelcomDigi Fibre could be a good choice. However, it is important to consider the coverage in your area when selecting a plan.

What are your thoughts on these broadband plans? We all want cheaper options, but it is important to find a balance between affordability and quality. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! And don’t forget to check out our mobile prepaid and mobile postpaid compilations as well.
