Enterprise software maker Salesforce has announced the launch of a new generative AI tool called Einstein Copilot. This tool will be available across Salesforce’s suite of apps, including Slack and Tableau. The tool can be customized by clients to fit their specific needs.

Einstein Copilot has a range of capabilities, including summarizing video calls, providing personalized answers to customer questions, and generating emails for marketing campaigns. It functions as a virtual assistant and uses a Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) to answer questions and produce content in natural language.

Salesforce claims that the assistant can access customer and enterprise data from its Data Cloud to generate appropriate responses. Users will have the option to embed the assistant into their websites or integrate it with messaging platforms like Slack and WhatsApp.

Earlier this year, in March, Salesforce launched the Einstein GPT genAI product. In June, the company also increased its venture capital fund for generative AI startups to $500 million. This move is part of a larger trend among tech companies, such as Microsoft and Alphabet, who are looking to take advantage of the growing popularity of generative AI.
