BERLIN: After more than ten years since its original launch, the popular Western adventure game “Red Dead Redemption” is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 consoles.
Rockstar Games, the developer of the game, has announced that the classic open world shooter, which has received high acclaim for its Western theme, has been ported to these consoles.
While fans of the Red Dead series will not be treated to a new storyline for the protagonist, John Marston, they will be delighted to know that an expansion called “Undead Nightmare” is included in the game. In this expansion, players will have to face a horde of zombies.
Although the highly-acclaimed sequel to the original game, released in 2010, has already been available on the PlayStation 4, neither “Red Dead Redemption” nor “Undead Nightmare” have been available on the Nintendo Switch until now.

For those who prefer physical copies of games, a bundle including both “Red Dead Redemption” and “Undead Nightmare” will be available from October 13. Additionally, the game is compatible with the PlayStation 5 console.
